I have never been disappointed with a Leupold product and this scope continues that satisfaction. I had recently purchased a nice .22 rifle and wanted to install a reliable multiply-powered optic on it. After reviewing several scopes in the 3X9 power, I selected the Leupold Freedom. The clarity, at least for my eyes, is great, the change in magnification is easy and point of impact stays constant. Mounted on a bull barreled light trigger .22, it was easy to "shoot the square" by eight clicks up, right, down, left from a rifle rest. And I know that Leupold will be there if I ever need a repair with their life time warranty. Year ago, I had just returned from a mule deer hunt in Colorado and had taken the scoped action from the stock to clean it. Of course, I dropped the action and bent the front part of the scope down at a 30 degree angle; totally my fault. I contacted Leupold, returned the damaged scope to them with a letter explaining that I damaged it and to please send me the invoice for repairing it. A couple of weeks later, I received the scope back, looking like new with a "No Charge" invoice enclosed. I currently have four rifles in my safe and all of them have Leopold "glass" on them. This is a great optic for the price. Being a Leupold, I know that it will always be ready when that shot counts. By the way, that scope that I damaged, a Leupold Gold Ring Vari III, 3X4X50 with adjustable objective counted for a 170 plus mule deer.

The Leupold Freedom 3-9x40 matte duplex is a good scope. I have 2 of these and both work well. No problems. Flawless.
