SCCY's CPX-1 is designed for concealed carry but large enough to get a good firm grip. It is considered to be one of the best priced, precision made "Pocket Pistols" on the market. Chambered for 9mm, it has a 3.1" barrel with a 16:1" right hand twist. The receiver is made from 7075 T6 aircraft grade heat treated aluminum alloy. The Zytel polymer frame features ergonomic finger grooves and an integral recoil cushion on the backstrap. The slide is machined from stainless steel with a Zytel overmolded polymer extension for ease of operation. It has 3-dot sights with a windage-adjustable rear. This DAO has an internal hammer with inertial firing pin to prevent accidental discharge, and an external thumb safety with a guard molded into the frame. It has a smooth, consistent 9-pound trigger pull. It comes with two 10-round magazines with finger extensions bases installed and two flat magazine bases. The CPX-1 has a satin slide with a crimson frame.

Nice look, inexpensive pistol. However, length of pull leaves something to be desired as well as heavy trigger. I do like these over the CPX2 models. Great service from Buds as always.

SCCY Industries was new to me, I had not heard, or owned any of their firearms. I am very glad that I saw an add for their CPX-2. I bought one, then another, and then a CPX-1, because I wanted to try one with a safety. I own 3 now, and plan on buying more. I love everything about these pistols, from the feel to the sights. The price is great, an the quality is very good. I have had no problems with any of my 3. Also they come in many colors, and you can get them with crimson trace red dot sights for a reasonable price.

Functions as it should with fmj 115,124,147 grain bullets. Works fine with 124 gr Speer Gold Dots. It’s a little thick for pocket carry. Very shootable for a subcompact 9mm. Makes a good glove box gun. For the price you can’t get any better in 9mm subcompact.

I have not had a chance to shoot my new SCCY. But what I can say about it, it’s a nice looking gun. Nice color and finish. It fits nice in my hand and feels balanced. Plus the price from Buds you can’t beat!
