Love my ruger#1, 450-400 nitro is a wild cartridge to shoot.fit and finish are perfect. Great to deal with buds again.

Review for this is pointless since they are out of stock probably for good. Just in case it may help someone; Plane Jane wood. Wood to metal fit just so so. Dirtiest most badly fouled barrel I've ever seen in a new gun. Rifle is accurate with all loads. Very accurate with some. 3/4 inch groups at 50 yards with heavy handloads. It's light for a big game express rifle and it kicks. A lot. Very like the same gun in 45-70 with heavy loads. Bang ow!

Haven't fired the weapon yet but it is one of the most beautifully made guns I've ever seen. And Buds always comes through with weapons that are generally not that easy to find. And the layaway program is always a plus too. Very pleased with this one.
