The 50 Bushmaster hunting rifle offers the big game hunter AR speed and accuracy. The powerful 450 Bushmaster cartridge, developed in affiliation with Hornady, is tamed by the AR-type gas operating system so recoil is reduced to a heavy thump, and second shot control is retained. It has a free-floating, vented aluminum forend. The upper and lower receivers are machined from a Mil-Spec aluminum forging. Standard AR-type 30-round magazines are fitted with a blue single stack follower to yield a magazine capacity of five rounds. The 450 Bushmaster ships with one 5-round magazine.

This review is long overdue great gun shot a deer with it last year here in Michigan we have a limit on what rifles you can use in the southern part of the state this is a must have

Amazing gun. I hunt in Indiana and up until last year we were very limited in what we can use to hunt deer. One of the calibers that was legal was this rifle. I have used it now for several years hunting and it is a very effective short to mid-range deer hunting rifle. I have taken deer at 180 yards with this gun and it is always a one shot gun. They never run far and it is always a clean hunt. The stopping power of this round is second to none. It is one of the most stout rifles I own for deer. It is a little on the heavy side, as you can imagine as the barrel has to be quite thick for the round but even with this, its easy to haul in and out. Bushmaster has crafted a very strong rifle. Easy to clean like all AR platforms and lots of extras you can buy for this gun.

1st day out with my 450 Bushmaster using the Hornady 250 gr FTX ammo and I got my best buck ever! He's a beautiful Michigan 13 pointer that I took at about 75 yards right through the heart. I had mounted a Nikon Monarch 3 2-8x32 scope which seems perfect for this rifle along with a Rock River Two Stage Varmint Trigger which took all of 10-15 minutes to install. Now this gun is deadly accurate at 100 yards (my bullet holes were touching on the range). As always, Buds was great to deal with.

Mounted a Redfield revenge 3-9 scope and bore sighted. It took 8 rounds to adj windage and elevation. The next 5 rounds were in a 1.5 inch group at 100 yds. Nuf said except that Bud's is awesome, good prices and FAST shipping.
