I've had this gun as a carry gun for about a year and a half know, I've put around 650 rounds through it, and i haven't had any problems at all with it. Does not Jam, but is rather heavy as its a few ounces more than a Glock 45. The gun is extremely accurate and worth the money you spend on it.

My American has been a great piece, but I haven't fired it as much as I'd like to, trying to conserve ammo. The serial number range of this one has a warning from Ruger to inspect for cracks when field stripping for cleaning. I'm inspecting as instructed, but no cracks yet. I trust Ruger's customer service and support to handle appropriately if and when needed.

I can't believe the quality of my new Ruger American 9mm. This fire arm is a duty oriented gun and a suitable weapon for any situation. Great trigger for a day at the range or as a duty weapon,.Berry happy with the gun, and ditto for the price..

Straight from the box to the range with carefully loaded mags and ran about 200 rounds without a single issue. Scope was pretty much spot on and bipod was an added bonus. Buy one already.

Really good pistol for the price. Ambidextrous controls are very practical. Multiple backstraps to chose from. Would prefer better sights.
