No. You'll need a conversion barrel made specifically for a shield and those are very hard to find right now. Id look on tacswap.com, armslist.com and (G)unBr0ker

I felt truly blessed to find a well used but still serviceable top tier handgun, an 80s era, 40 caliber, Sig P229.
Imagine the added bonus of learning that, with the change of a barrel, I could also have the equivalent of a semi-automatic .357 magnum! That's where Bud's Gun Shop came through for me.
Unlike the first website I went to, Bud's actually has in stock what they advertise. Their shipping rates are fair too.
As far as this barrel is concerned, for all intents and purposes, I have a brand new .357 Sig P229! I couldn't be happier!

Worked as expected, easy as breaking down the pistol to clean however; putting in the .357 Sig barrel back in. Perfect fit in my Legion P-229.

PS- .357 SIG is way ahead of any other round for CCW! Has some serious power and if the bullet doesn't hit exactly where it will do the most
good the muzzle blast will most assuredly finish the "bad behavior" modification! Accurate as all get out with Sig and Underwood ammo.

Factory Sig barrel in .357 Sig fits perfect in my P229 .40S&W. Normally you go the other way but I got a deal on a case of .357Sig ammo.
Exactly as advertised in factory Sig package sealed. Bud's never disappoints.

I have an old police trade in P229 that was in 40. The barrel that came with it was used quite a bit and pretty worn. I decided that I wanted to try the 357 sig and purchased this barrel as a replacement. Install was simple and done in a cleaning session. You just take the gun apart, drop in the new barrel, and your ready to go. I would recommend and did replace the recoil spring with a new one during the swap if the old spring has seen a lot of rounds. Took it out shooting not too long after swapping out the barrel and was pleasantly surprised. That old police trade in is a tack driver with the new barrel. It is also fun and comfortable to shoot for extended sessions. I’m very happy that I decided to swap to the 357 sig barrel.

I love this caliber. Unfortunately, both of the 229s I bought were in 40 (they discontinued the model in both 40 and 357 sig). This is second conversion barrel for P229s that I’ve purchased from buds. Both of them are great. I highly recommend.
