New low-profile E-MaxTM hearing protection combines great circuitry with a low profile earcup that's ideal for shotgun shooters and action shooters. Two microphones in the E-MaxTM amplify sounds below 85 decibels, which amplifies normal communication, range commands and environmental sounds. Above 85 decibels the microphones shut off for a split second to protect the shooter's hearing. Two microphones - one in each cup - give the user true stereo sound and allow the user to identify the directional source of a sound.

I bought two pairs for me and my wife to use at the range, but I have only used mine so far. I was thoroughly impressed with the fit and function! Instant noise reduction when firing everything from a 380 up to a 12ga., and it was easy to be heard and hear with my sister, who was using a different brand but similar pair. I highly recommend these for great hearing protection while shooting. For the price, compared to other high-priced ones, these are awesome!

I recently purchased these caldwell headphones for a great deal at buds and was a way better deal than any other competitor's had. I am impressed with the quality of these they are electronic set with microphones that can pick up any sounds lower than 80 or so deciples. I like being able to block out sound but still be able to hear normal things. They hold out a lot of the gunshots I have used them in an indoor range and worked flawless, I was able to hear the range person talking and have the protection of the earmuffs. I would highly recommend getting these, I waited and I wish I just got them when I wanted originally. Thanks again buds !

They work fantastic. Light and fit great you can adjust the volume wish I'd bought them a long time ago.

I love the Caldwell brand.
Their slim line muffs are great for staying out of the way of a shoulder stock.
They are a lot less expensive than other brands, but the quality and durability is just as good.
My first 2 pair have lasted over 10 years without a problem.
I bought 2 more so that everyone has their own pair.

These caldwell earmuffs surprised me to say the least. For the price I didn't expect this kind of quality and comfort. They perform exactly as advertised with amazing clarity and noise protection. I would highly recommend these for anyone looking for this sort of product...I would buy again.
