First gun delivered was in bad shape. Thankfully Buds was able to pick up and send another rifle in excellent condition. Unable to get to the range due to work related issues. Unable to comment on performance at this time.

Outstanding rifle. Lots of fun to shoot. Very accurate.

I bought the savage mk 2 BSEV and the cz 455 varmint on the same day.
I put the same 8x32 scope on both rifles.
The cz has a beaver tail Mount, ring were a bit harder to find.
A 20 moa rail was hard to find for the mk 2
The mk 2 action was a lot smoother than the 455 , trigger pull on the mk 2 was better, mags for the 455 alot better the the savage as for accuracy both guns were equal.

Just shot my new savage BSEV 22LR today indoor range 25 yards using 36 grain Federal ammo and a Nikon pro staff scope I had laying around, had the shop bore site this thing in and from there I was hitting bullseye every time. Looks like another great buy from Bud's super happy with this rifle, the trigger is very crisp with a clean break and the bolt was a little stiff at first but after 200+ rounds started to glide smooth as silk. The weight is a little hefty so don't plan on carrying this thing into the woods I think this is more of a bench rifle anyway which is what I plan on using it for. Fit and finish are superb and well done from the factory, all parts seem to fit tight with no play at all. Several range officers came over to check this thing out and I even let one of them fire off 1 mag and he was very impressed at how well it shoots and handles (smile from ear to ear.) Overall very happy with the savage and the picture does not do this thing any justice, looks awesome in person. If you are looking for a great 22lr check this thing out, and hat's off to Bud's for great prices.

The most consistently accurate .22 I have shot. It prefers slower ammo, 36- 40 grain under 1000fps. The clear cote on the stock is not as smooth as I would like and the bolt had a little rust on the bottom, but the accuracy makes up for these cosmetic problems.

If you like 22s you've got to get this thing. The gun is gorgeous, and it shoots like a dream. The trigger is close to perfect. I put a Nikon Nikoplex target rimfire scope on it and put a few hundred rounds of different brands of 22 lr thru it without a single problem, and the groups averaged 1.5 MOA at 100 yards. It is absolutely a joy to shoot, worth every penny!
