I want to get these and plan on having my gunsmith put them on. If I decide I want to have old sights reinstalled will they still fit or will grinding have taken place?

Kevin, The old Sights will still fit as the only modification will be to this Sight to be drilled for the roll pin.

Front sight fits S&W 617 model revolvers. Resin overmolded LitePipe, available in either red or green. Sight is not pre-drilled. Height of sight from barrel up is .165". Also fits J frames with the HIVIZ sight from the S&W factory. Sight is not predrilled for roll pin.
