The Ruger Bearcat is a sweet little gun. It’s a nice small frame that is fun for plinking. Just like most .22’s it does a good job on small game too, albeit challenging. It’s a real beauty and I love holding it. Accurate as anyone could ask for. I have the .45 Long Colt Vaquero as well. They look nearly identical, just different sizes.

This Ruger is a beautiful piece of work. The detail of the engraving is really nice.Was really surprised how heavy and nice this felt for the size of it.
I had this on my wish list for some time and jumped on it when it came available.
Took it home and cleaned it up (Ruger test fires them). Fairly easy to strip and clean..good videos on it by Ruger.
At the range I was hitting some in the bull at ten yards after about 15 rounds,What a great plinker.!!!!!!

This is a nice little pistol that functions well, however, I wasn't impressed with the quality for the dollar amount I paid. My Bearcat has light scratches on the frame, although it was packed well from the factory. Granted, this pistol will see many more with the use I intend to give it. It's made well, I just was expecting more I guess. Buds was great, as always.

Everything involving this purchase went great. A great gun for a great price.

I think the fixed sights look better and Ruger seems to take extra time on these as far as fit n finish. Very nice little revolver indeed! Glad I finally snagged one from Buds!

I just received my Bearcat and I love it! This was my first Budsgunshop.com gun purchase so I learned a lot. The price was excellent because I paid with electronic checks. It took 5 days after the money left my account for the shipping process to begin. I got the call from my FFL 2 days later so shipping time was superb. When inspecting the gun it was very dry and I attempted to remove the cylinder but couldn't get it back together. I am used to maintaining a Ruger Single 6 so I was confident I could get it in order. I had to completely disassemble the revolver, clean it, lubricate, and preserve. I reassembled it and now it is a smooth operating machine. This pistol may have been sitting on a shelf for a very long time. At any rate, every new gun should be cleaned and assured to function properly before hitting the range. Plus you get to learn how to take it down and care for it. Just take your time and don't scratch it up.

My folks bought one of the old style Bearcats brand new back in 1969 and it was what I learned to shoot with as a kid. Sad to say my mom sold it like 25 years ago. Well I have been wanting to get one of these for some time now and Im sure glad I made the purchase. What a fun little plinker the Bearcat is and the great memories it has brought back. Buds was super fast on shipping too. Im not a VIP member and ordered it on a Tuesday and by Friday afternoon I picked it up from my FFL. Thank you Buds!

Fun to shoot and and very accurate at 7 yards. Just a well made, nice looking revolver.

Wonderful service and pricing, as usual. I orginally bought this on their layaway plan, which gives you 90 days to make full payment. After 1 month, I decided to pay in full and the gun was immediately delivered to my FFL dealer within 2 days of my check clearing. Examination showed the gun to be in perfect shape and I'll do a report after I shoot it at my range.
