As I'm getting older I appreciate a light weight rifle more and this one fits the bill. I bought it for deer hunting in Pennsylvania. After getting the rifle home I noticed that the wood stock was touching the barrel, not free floated, right at the tip of the stock. Two minutes with some sandpaper relieved it and I can now run a dollar bill all the way up to the receiver. That was the only negative and shouldn't deter purchasing it. I adjusted the trigger down to 3 pounds using the included accu-triggger tool and added a Redfield 3-9x40 scope. I tried two loads at the range, one using Nosler ballistic tips and the other using partitions. Both loads were acceptable, but three shots of Federal Premium 140gr. ballistic tips were well under an inch at 100 yards. What more could you ask of a light weight deer rifle? The rifle alone weighs in at 5.5 pounds and with the scope the whole package is still under 6.5 pounds. Very nice finish on both the wood and steel, 4 shot magazine capacity and nicely fluted bolt.
