It might be a result of my short staure, but the receiver moves far enough back to hit my face when firing high velocity 12 ga slugs. It did reduce the felt recoil with lower velocity slugs and buckshot, but the design seems to make shooting the high velocity loads nearly unbearable.

I love this product, it fit my H&R Pardner pump perfectly. Made it look and feel like a million bucks. I would buy it again in a second.

Easy install, sturdy, comfortable, fully adjustable. QD points work perfectly, and I love the new feel. The forend allows for easy and quick cycling. Replaced the wood furniture on my original 870 and feels like a brand new shotgun now. Great product

I ordered this item because I have used a previous generation on the Knoxx SpecOps recoil reduction stock. I look forward to getting to the range with this one since it boasts of even more reduction in felt recoil. I bought the initial stock for a duty weapon, and carried it on the weapon for many years. I had experienced some neck issues and did not want to expose it to the considerable recoil of 00 Buck and slugs that were used during day/night qualifications. The original generation stock greatly reduce felt recoil, and made a day at the range enjoyable. The installation of the stock is straight forward, although an appropriate vise will greatly assist in the removal of the original stock from the Remington 870.

I bought this to replace the old wood stock and forearm on an old Rem 870 pump 7 shot 18" barrel so my wife could shoot it. The gun hadn't been apart in over 25 years, so it was a challenge. The plastic forearm removal tool that came with the new stock was not up to the task. I had to use a hammer, punch, and WD-40 to finally get the nut loose. But, I did get it loose, and everything fits like it should. The new stock can be adjusted about 2" shorter than the old wood stock, and the forearm has a smaller diameter and is easier to grip. My wife likes the "new gun" much better than the old gun. She says the big recoil pad and dampening system do make a difference. The small picatinny rail on the forearm is a nice option. I have a tactical flashlight that fits right on it.

Bought knoxx gen3 stock and forearm for an 870 , installed and shot the next day. Wow is all I can say, excellent dampening and easy follow up shots compared to previous configuration.

Overall good feeling replacement. I used this to go on my riot 870. Generous butt pad and the integrated shock absorber is an interesting touch. I like the textures on forearm and the adjustable stock locks in place good and doesn't have much wiggle to it. Great aftermarket piece.

Noticeable difference on recoil with any 12 gauge shells fired (I'd say about 1/3 less felt recoil) with military 00 buck 2 3/4" loads. With managed recoil (Remington managed recoil 00 buck) and this stock together, felt recoil is cut in half. Results in easier, faster, and more accurate follow up shots. Great product here. Easy installation and easy to follow instructions included. Highly recommend you get one.
