• Q: What is the difference in mini action vs short action?
  Will the mini action affect the overall length of the cartridge? Will a case with an 80-grain bullet fit the magazine and feed into the chamber?

• Q: Is the stock material like what Howa uses on the standard Mini Action, or like the Hogue stock? I've seen some pretty flexible synthetic stocks lately. I'd hate to have to replace it right off the bat.

• Q: anybody actually have one in their hands and can answer 100% certain if this is a mini action with detachable mag or regular short action with hinged floor plate?

  Ok Joseph, I can now say with 100% certainty that this is a short action. I emailed Howa and asked "Hi, can you please tell me if the M1500 rifle chambered in .223, model HGR223NTKHC, ups # 682146882926 is a short action or mini action?"
  .
  They replied very quickly, here is their reply -
  "Short action, 22" standard non-threaded barrel with Kryptek Highlander camo"

• Q: Can someone at Bud's verify if this an actual mini-action or regular short action please?

  Joseph, the M1500 in .223 comes in both short & mini actions. This is not the mini action. The mini action M1500 model numbers start with HMA (Howa Mini Action). This model number starts with HGR, so it leads me to believe it is not a mini action.
