Girsan Regard MC Liberador 9mm 4.9" Polished Stainless, Gold Accents 18+1

This "clone" puts the "clone" debate to rest. This is not a clone, but a HIGH quality HOMAGE to the Beretta. Girsan actually bought the tooling and license from Beretta to produce the Regard a number of years ago. It improves on what was already established. Turkey has been making excellent firearms for a long time and have been vetted and seen use in action by NATO and LEO's around the world. The double action is heavy, but smooth. 10 lbs. The single action is very light, like on the verge of competition light. Making follow ups pleasurable and the reset is short. It's about 4 lbs give or take, and may get a tad lighter over time. And of course since it is an homage to Beretta, it does take all modifications and accessories of the M9. The trigger does have a long take up, but it can be shortened in the aftermarket and runs reliably after mods. Best thing is it has a pic rail, so you can add more accessories of your choice. The trigger is a bit far away so I have to grip the Regard a little bit further from the grip so be aware if you have short fingers/smaller hands. The sights are okay, I wish it came with fiber optics. They are hard to see since this particular color combo is shiny. Dead accurate. Even at 75+ yards. Taking it apart, the machining is EXCELLENT. No machining marks. Looking inside the slide, some parts are actually polished. It's generously lubed, and mine does sweat a tad bit. Overall, highly recommend for those that want an M9, but want something more affordable, or want an M9 that feels more "special". Girsan knows exactly who their market is and their color combo options are exceptional besides the typical black or stainless M9.
