What does break action do for the shooter? Easier reloading or cleaning?

This type of rifle uses a primer. It breaks open for easy insertion and removal of the primer. So you load black powder and a projectile into the barrel. Then open the action, insert the primer then close the action. Pull back the hammer and fire. The primer will ignite the black powder. Pretty simple when you get the hang of it. Hope this helps.

Yes, it is a simple action, just release the action, load a round, close the action and fire. Repeat for the next shot. It is essentially the most basic type of firearm as far as shooting is concerned. Cheers and stay safe.

While the new OPTIMA V2 shares the name of its popular predecessor, the “Version 2” gun has a completely different design in many ways. Modeled after CVA’s top-of-the-line ACCURA V2, the OPTIMA V2 features the same trigger-guard actuated breeching lever, internal parts, and “neutral center-of-gravity” trigger. Add in CVA’s Quick Release Breech Plug (which is finger removable without any tool what-so-ever), 100% ambidextrous stock, and CrushZone recoil pad, and you’ve got a gun with more quality features than any other muzzleloading rifle in its price range. Equipped with a 26” 416 grade stainless steel barrel, the OPTIMA V2 is easy to maneuver in the tree stand and comfortable to carry in the mountains.

Never been a black powder hunter, saw this cva optima v2 on Buds web site, cheap I thought, so I thought I would give it a try. Haven't deer hunted with anything else since. Got a nice 8 pointer and a doe with it so far , thanks Buds for giving this 70 year old a new hobby!

My first inline muzzleloader and holy cow, first three shots at 100 yds with two Pyrodex pellets behind a 245 gr Powerbelt bullet went into an inch and a half! I have not tried heavier loads but will this year (2023). For the money, this gun is hard to beat.

Gun is reliable and very accurate. Last deer I shot with it was 150 yards away. I would have no problem reaching out to 200 if need be.

I can’t remember when I ordered this muzzleloader but it was several years back. And I’m still using it with no regrets, it is most accurate muzzleloader at a 100 yards I’ve ever shot. KP

Pretty disappointed in the service from Buds. Took nearly 3 weeks to get.
The gun? I love it. Fits me well. The stock feels a bit hollow but it functions well. I have not shot it much its to cold here in NH. My first inline after years of sidelock. Its more accurate then my old 50 and the trigger is amazing. Breaks at just under 3 pounds. Almost to light for hunting. Over all im pleased

Love this gun. If your interested in this muzzle loader don't hesitate. I paired mine with a 3-9x40 and its the first gun I grab when I go to the shooting range. Its just fun to shoot, load, and is very accurate, I shoot very tight groups at a 100 yards compared to other muzzle loaders I see.

Great gun well built an top notch quality. The trigger has virtually no creep hammer comes back very easily with the hammer spur while never moving ur hand put of position. The qrsb breech plug is awesome does exactly as advertised removes easily with out a issue i would reccomend however getting the clean out tool an parts soaker for it makes life a lot easier.the gun is just beautiful the stainless steel cleans up easily an looks good. The easy loading of sabots an powerbelts was excellent i went with federal bore locks an white hots with fed 409 primers an couldnt be happier. If u where looking for a budget gun that doesnt skip on quality this is it An accurate out to 200 yards with out a problem the dead on scope mount it comes with is really nice an easy to mount a scope at home cant recommend this gun enough.

this gun is awesome. my first ML. i put a 3-9x40 nikon bdc scope on it. had it bore sighted. then i took and shot it at 60 yards. first shot was 4 inches low. i cranked the scope up and every shot after that was in the bullseye. I shoot 245 grain power belts and 777 50 grain pellets (i put 2 pellets in which is 100 grains of powder). the bullet/powder cobmo i use is perfect. the gun is easy to clean and the trigger is better than my rifle. this gun also shoot more accurate than my 308!

This replaced an older Optima with barrel pitting problems. The replacement is now sighted in and consistent. I do like the QRBP feature and am keeping the barrel scrupulously clean. GREAT PRICE AND FAST DELIVERY MAKES THIS A WONDERFUL DEAL.
