The firearm is well made, shoots well, and the price is a big bargain. I had an issue with the magazines locking back in the last round. I had three magazines, and all had the same problems. I called customer services, and they immediately sent replacements. Now, these magazines do not differ from the ones I already have. I want to like it for carrying, but I will use it for something else. If Sccy should contract MEC-Gar for the magazines, even if they charge a bit more, this will most likely resolve many issues that Sccy owners have experimented with. They are aware of the situation, which has been documented on YouTube. Why have they yet to fix the problem? It is beyond me. Sccy, I will contact you again about this issue, and I hope you will make it. Customer service is excellent, but the magazines are not great. If you want to have a great product, make the magazines better.

After adding a set of night sights and shooting some high quality Critical Defense ammo I now love this little 9mm. Good trigger, good accuracy, great sights (now), 100% reliable with good ammo and for the price I paid, I'm not worried about carrying it and beating it up.

I bought this pistol based on the price, paid 200 plus got a 50 buck rebate… All in for about 150, my expectations was not high. That being said the pistol, shots excellent and it is very easy to handle. The only drawback is that I get a little pinch between the mag and the handle with my pinky finger. I would highly recommend this pistol based on the price first and shooting second. Money well spent!

This is the third DVG-1 that I have ordered from Bud's. One was the "red dot ready" model, and two were this model. I am an NRA Training Counselor/Instructor and use them in my classes. My class participants ..as well as I...find the quality and price an almost perfect combination. Further, with the current rebate being offered by SCCY, this model is $129. That is a fantastic price. Is it a perfect gun? No. I too would prefer a lighter trigger, but it is in no way a "bad" trigger. It is maybe in the 6# range, but it is crisp and not an issue at all. Accuracy is very nice for a small firearm. The perceived quality when holding it is very high. It feels heavier than it actually is, and recoil is better than other small 9mm that I have shot. Some reviewers have had magazine issues...notably the slide not locking back on empty. In the first two that I purchased, both had one bad magazine. This one both were good. Like any new gun, the magazines are uber stiff until used a bit. That is not a negative. In the case of the two magazines that functioned fine but would not lock back, I tried the oft praised SCCY customer service. A quick call and with no hesitation on their part, two new magazines were sent out immediately. A reliable, good looking, accurate firearm, with a lifetime warranty for $129??? This is a no-brainer purchase decision. Note that I am writing this on December 9, 2022. The current $50 rebate program expires on December 31, 2022. That still leaves three weeks to take advantage of this program.

The positive: Typical fast shipping from Bud's; pistol seems heavier than I would have expected; very easy take down for cleaning; with current rebate, fantastic deal; trigger is very vice compared to the hammer fired variants; nice sights...accurate; due to weight, reasonably soft shooting; seems well made...doesn't feel cheap in the hand; two magazines is a plus. The negative: Although trigger is much improved over its hammer fired models, it is still a bit heavy...but, ..with rebate it is a $150 gun, so the complaint is fairly minor in retrospect. When reassembling after cleaning/oiling, be 100% certain the take down pin is in proper position; if user error crops up and you get over confident and the pin is off, well...good luck getting that corrected easily. (But, that was stupidity on me, not an inherent flaw of the gun). Mag spring very stiff..I could not get more than 5 rounds into the magazine..of course, that will loosen up over time. Overall....from one quick trip to the range...only about 30 rounds, I was pleasantly surprised on the accuracy and quality of such an inexpensive firearm. The current rebate period ($50) ends at the end of December; if my next range trip is as successful, I may just order another. Right now, I am giving it 4 stars...taking one star away due to heavier trigger pull than I prefer. But, you may feel quite differently as without a functional manual safety this may instead be considered perfect by other users.

Very pleased. Have had cpx models before, and same feeling. Very reliable. Never a feed issue. And very accurate for a micro compact. But these new striker fire r absolute great addition to sccy pistol line. Only thing i wish , and maybe they will offer. Is a lighter trigger. Even though its striker, its not as light as my GX4. But sold it because of mag release issues. I think this dvg is about 5 to 6 lb pull. I would give this an overall 8 out of 10 review. Price being the #1 reason. A 9mm micro for under $200. WOW!
