The Taurus TX 22 completion SCR available on Bud's uses a TandemKross Game Changer Pro Squared Compensator. That model does not include an optic though.

The specs are very close. Is there a difference in quality?

Hi Cheryl and welcome. Absolutely no difference in quality. There is a functional difference with the compensated model for lower muzzle rise and gas redirection. The difference will be felt in Shoot ability but, quality is the same. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!

Hi Cheryl, the only difference is the added Tandemkross compensator and extractor to the SCR model. TandemKross Game Changer PRO squared compensator adds weight for better gun balance and accuracy. It also redirects a portion of propellant gases to counter recoil and unwanted muzzle rise. The compensator vents gases at dual 45° angles for better visibility and control, as well as keeping your red dot lens clear of any gases or debris. TandemKross “Eagle’s Talon” aftermarket extractor made from the finest, hardened tool steel for extreme toughness and extended life ideal for competitors would shoot high round counts. Really good gun . Shoots well . Not ammo picky. Buds price was really good too . Taurus sure is making really good guns these days.

I bought this in 2022 after researching a fun.22 LR semiauto with big capacity and good reviews and features, at a 'don't break the bank' price. Purely for long afternoons of plinking. Bud's had the best selection, prices and great customer service - I have made a number of purchases from them for those reasons. Also bought a Bushnell RXS250 Red Dot optic from Bud's which was a clean install. Carry the rig in a great fitting OTW holster for this TX22 Competition from Forged Tec.

Received the gun today. Looks great. Red dot mounted easily. Red dot also comes with a pic mount. Was delivered quickly by Buds and FFL transfer went smoothly. Headed out to the range this weekend to put a few hundred rounds through it.
