Weighing in at about 7 lbs. and measuring 41.75 inches, the Model 25 Walking Varminter gives a versatile combination of agility and accuracy. This rifle features a 22" medium-contour, matte blue barrel that's sleeved for added rigidity. It comes equipped with Weaver-style scope bases and triple pillar bedding. The Model 25 has a 3-lug bolt that features a 60-degree throw that allowing for a large diameter scope to be mounted low on the receiver. The revolutionary AccuTrigger, adjustable from 2.5 -3.25 lbs, is standard on the Savage Model 25 as well as a 4-round, detachable box magazine. The Savage 25WV 22 HORNET has proven to be very accurate for me. I put a thermal scope on this rifle and have nailed 8 coyotes with it this past winter. The 22 hornet is a great caliber for a more populated areas. This rifle has a smooth operating bolt and excellent feeding magazine. I wish Savage offered it in stainless.My rifle has digestive a lot of different reloads with not one hiccup.

The gun has trouble loading a bullet from the magazine and trouble ejecting the empty case almost like it’s hung up in the bullet chamber. If I had to do over I wouldn’t buy the savage I would look for another brand rifle.

Great firearm it was very accurate. I shot one group with it it seemed good. I bought this with the sole purpose to rechamber it in 5.7x28mm. As far as the fit and finish, its excellent. Trigger is awesome, nice break to it!

I was happy to receive this rifle in an unbroken condition, considering the condition of the box. It was severely damaged. Delivery was slower than previous purchases from Bud's, but the transaction and communication from Bud's was excellent.The rifle needed a little oil on the bolt first, but then it functioned perfectly, and has shown pretty good accuracy.
