I waited about a month to write this review. I wanted to get some time in with it. After 2,500 rounds I’m still very impressed by my holosun 507c v2. The controls and settings are very simple. Comparing it to my Sig Romeo 1 and vortex venom, there is no comparison. The holosun Dot is very crisp and clear where the Sig and vortex are not. The battery compartment is on the side and easy to access. Three reticle options, how is this thing not the industry standard?

This would be my fourth Holosun product. As with the others, this is an excellent value-minded alternative to EOTech or some other pricey brands. I had used EOTechs in the military for a number of years, and my only complaint was with the batteries. I was glad that I never had to buy those sights for my issued weapons; they were always supplied by - and returned to - Uncle Sam. Before spending that kind of money for my personally owned weapons, I did a little research on alternatives, and decided to give Holosun a try. Excellent battery life, solar fail-safe, shake-awake tech that actually works, dot size/shape options, dot color options, and reasonable reliability have made me a loyal customer, now. If you haven't used a Holosun, I think it's worth a look. May not be for everyone, but if you can afford it, I would highly recommend it. If you can afford better, obviously, buy better. For post-military life me, Holosun is definitely good enough.
