If you know anything about Daniel Defense, then you know that they manufacture quality firearms. This is a very nice modern sporting rifle. Fit and finish are excellent and attention to detail is very obvious when you put this in your hands. It balances well. The fire control switch is very smooth and clicks positively into Safe or Semi-Auto mode. Daniel Defense started making their own furniture (Buttstock, pistol grip and vertical grip) a couple of years ago instead of using Magpul products. Some people like tjos, some do not. The furniture functions well and fits snugly on the gun. Since I like Magpul furniture, I'll probably replace the stock items with Magpul, just because I like the way Magpul furniture feels and functions. If you are new to Modern Sporting Rifles, you should consider spending a little extra money to purchase one of these fine firearms manufactured by Daniel Defense. Throw on a set of your favorite folding sights and a scope and you are good to go.

Opened the case and WOW!! What a fine piece of machinery. Every detail of this rifle is so precise. All machined parts are clean and free of tool markings. All future purchases in the AR platform will be Daniel Defense Via BUDS GUN SHOP. Now my wife has set claim to the DDM4V5LW so another order may be in the works. Thanks Buds!
