They are better than the original one that came with the gun they have a push button instead of a plastic spring type clip... great upgrade

I bought this rifle in .223 and it immediately began to misfire. There was indentations in the cartridge on misfired rounds, not nearly as deep as the indentation on cartridges that fired properly. The misfired rounds fired fine in my mini and AR. After 10 trips to the range with frequent misfires I contacted Savage customer service who told me to ship it back to them. I did. When it was received back the information from Savage was headspace was checked and the rifle was test fired. No repair or replacement of parts. The rifle fired fine for 3 trips to the range and then began to misfire again repeatedly and is no longer dependable or usable. I have since read hundreds of reviews at online forums and this seems to be a chronic problem with Savage Axis II bolt action rifles that they refuse to correct. To bad, Savage is normally a quality firearm. Do Not purchase a Savage Axis II unless you want to be plagued by misfires.

These are tight fitting in the Savage Axis 223 but work like a champ. If you own a Savage 223, I recommend you get a couple.

Just the item I was looking for and Buds had the best price I could find. My Savage Axis 223. works just fine with these. I have the Muddy Girl but I don't need the mag to match. I'm good with the black. And it's cheaper than the Muddy Girl camo mag.

These are hard to find magazines for the Savage Axis 223. Buds sent me an email notifying me they were in, so I logged on and they were available with "Make An Offer" option. Made my offer which was accepted, so I bought two. Buds shipped them right out, had them within 3 days. Took them to the range and put 20 rounds through each one. The springs were tight for the first loads but loading became easier with use. I am pleased to have found these magazines at a reasonable price. Best of all is they are Made in America!
