Weatherby VGD Talon Bolt - 3+1 Rounds | 24" Barrel

The first thing you’ll notice about the Vanguard Talon, aside from Weatherby’s legendary fit and finish, is the stock. The Talon is equipped with a carbon fiber Peak 44™ Blacktooth™ stock, the same stock we use on the Backcountry 2.0 Ti. To help reduce the recoil on this ultra-light set up, the stock features Peak 44™’s 3DHEX® recoil pad and threaded Accubrake ST.

The Vanguard Talon is a beautiful rifle. The combination of the spiral cut barrel with the Peak44 stock the rifle balances perfectly. I highly recommend! Buds makes this process of purchasing such an easy task!

Haven’t been able to shoot the rifle more than just to break in the barrel so I cannot speak to its accuracy but I love the weight and feel of this rifle. I was a bit skeptical buying a Vanguard at first, but it seems high quality.

Terrific rifle. Total package is 6.3 lbs in 6.5 prc. Super-stiff Peak 44 blacktooth stock, smooth and strong Howa 1500 long action makes plenty of room for super long 6.5 mm bullets. Beautiful spiral fluted sporter weight barrel is bedded and free-floated, unlike most vanguards, making this a very light weight, high precision rifle. Buds was perfect, as always and this was a terrific deal.
