In particular, specific engagement surfaces and the design of the hooked extractor are formed precisely through this engineering process.
The resulting Apex Tactical Failure Resistant Extractor is guaranteed to drop into all factory Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0 pistols chambered in 9mm, .40 S&W and .45 ACP. The extractor is finished with a Melonite treatment for enhanced durability. The design will not function in original M&P or M&P Shield handguns.
