The pistol was found as described without any apparent manufacturing defects, however, the pistol did have a problem. The Mepro Night front sight was not fully or correctly installed, it was not aligned with the barrel axis centerline. The front sight was out-of-alignment by a significant 2 mm offset, requiring adjustment with a drift punch before use. This issue does not reflect well on Kimber's QC.

Typical Kimber, good quality at a good price. Since 2009 I have had over 30 Kimbers ( only 3 now). I have always liked the Ultra size Kimbers and this is a nice one. Very easy to carry, accurate for it's size and fires everytime. Not the best trigger in the world but but not the worst, almost 5#'s. But for a short light 45 with considerable recoil 5#'s is not all that bad. Good finish and bright night sights. I have heard people complain about Kimber mags for years but I have a lot of them in 45 and 9mm and never had a problem with them. Also a lot of people don't like Kimber pistols for one reason or another but of all the ones I have had I can think of only one that gave me real problems. So love them or hate them in my opinion this one is worth looking at.
