Is this product safe to carry 6 rounds in? I read something about many Cimarron replicas not having the transfer bar and thus if you don't leave it on an empty chamber, it can fire the weapon.

ALL CIMARRON CARTRIDGE REVOLVERS UTILIZE A HAMMER BLOCK SAFETY SYSTEM. (LIGHTNING, MODEL P, CUSTER CAVALRY, THUNDERER, ARTILLERY, SHERIFF’S MODEL) ALL MODEL ‘P’, MODEL ‘P’ JR., THUNDERER AND LIGHTNING REVOLVERS MANUFACTURED FOR CIMARRON BY UBERTI UTILIZE AN ELONGATED CYLINDER BASE PIN WHICH FUNCTIONS AS THE HAMMER BLOCK SAFETY. THIS IS A FEATURE ON BOTH THE OLD MODEL (BLACK POWDER) FRAMES AS WELL AS THE MODERN FRAME (WITH SPRING LOADED CROSS PIN RELEASE). ALWAYS POINT THE MUZZLE IN A SAFE DIRECTION. WHILE WORKING ON THE GUN, ************ALWAYS LET THE HAMMER REST IN SAFE POSITION (FIRST CLICK) ON AN EMPTY CHAMBER AND HANDLE ALL FIREARMS AS IF THEY ARE LOADED.

from what I could find the Thunderer series has no transfer bar safety so it would not be safe to carry with 6 rounds

this gun was little disappointing. the factory tuned trigger was just OK. Still needs some work to fix sear trigger engagement you feel to much metal to metal drag while pulling trigger.had to send gun back to Cimarron to have it rebarrelled the refiling was only half finished .The groves in refiling where full of chatter marks. The lands where fine but very short . This gun was made buy Ubertti . I have respect for the B/U/S company I'm sure they will make prob write. This gun prob just slipped thru QC . WILL NOT KEEP FROM BUYING ANOTHER GUN MADE BUY B/U/S. Buds did there job fine as usual.
