These are very entry level AR15's. The nitride coating is durable enough that it will resist corrosion, however it will get scratching if you bang it around too much. Virtually all modern AR15's come with a forward assist and a dust cover, if it didn't I'd be really surprised.

Yes it comes with dust cover and forward assist. Typically chrome lined barrels are made of 4140 or 4150 chrome moly steel. Manufacturers will take a standard barrel and line the inside with chrome to decrease feed problems and increase heat distribution and ease of cleaning. Many of the forums get caught up on the fact that it decreases accuracy. This is correct as it is very difficult to perfectly line the inside a barrel evenly. That being said standard users will not see a decrease in accuracy with a chrome lined barrel. If you are not a competition shooter or sniper I wouldn’t worry about it. Plus, if you were a competition shooter I would use a stainless barrel anyways

This is the military M-4 rifle basically and is a rugged piece of equipment. Nothing fancy though.

It has a forward assist and a dust cover. The coating is only on the outside of the barrel, and you need to pay more if you want melonite or chrome finish. That being said, by the time you shoot enough ammo to need to replace the barrel, you will have spent ten times the cost of the gun at minimum on ammo alone.

It goes bang everytime, and that's what was important to me. There are no bells and whistles unless you add them yourself (I added Magpul Slimline furniture and a K2 grip). It shoots true w/ 62g green tips, and loves Pmags as it should. All in all this is probably one of the best basic AR15's you can snag for the money at the time of this review. As always shopping with buds has been a breeze, this was my 4th firearm purchased from buds.
