This is the first Savage I had ever bought--or even shot for that matter. I quickly added a Nikon M-223 mount and a Bushnell 4.5-18x AR/6.5 Creedmoor BDC Scope. Five shots to get it sighted in. Cold and very windy. Then a four-shot 9/16" group. I have never been so satisfied with a new rifle. I honestly believe this is the best rifle I have ever owned. And what a price! Can't wait to see how small a group I can shoot in warm, unwindy weather! Do yourself a favor and grab one at Bud's!

Ordered on Tuesday afternoon and my ffl had it by noon Friday. I'm definitely impressed with buds prices, service and shipping. Absolutely will be the only place i buy from... The savage is spot on as described as well, can't wait to get some rounds downrange.

I bought this rifle for the action with plans to ditch the barrel and stock and install some upgrades. I mounted a lower end Vortex 4-12x44 and was very surprised at the groups I was getting during the barrel break in procedure. With only 15 rounds this rifle is easily shooting 1/2 MOA (1/2") at 100 yards, As well as it shoots I am going to hold off on re-barreling for now. Mine arrived with the accustock and 10 (actually 9 functional) round magazine, and picatinny rail. The trigger is adjustable and breaks clean. I do expect some slight grittiness to work its way out as more rounds are squeezed off. The threads at the end of the 26" fluted barrel are clean and the protective cap screws on tightly. I considered adding a break if needed for recoil but this rifle has very light recoil. I did drop the it into a H-S Precision PST114 stock that I intended on using for my build but I will keep the accustock for another project as I believe it is a decent stock. For the price I paid I am more than pleased with the performance. Also note that I believe these are a special run because they are not available everywhere. Buds shipped quickly to my FFl once the e-check cleared the 5 day wait. They provided excellent tracking and updates via their website. I will DEFINITELY be utilizing Bud's for future purchases. I dropped a star because I had some pretty good scratches on the top of the barrel. These did not bother me because I was planning on re-barreling anyway. I think I will have it Cerakoted to match the tan of my stock. You can't go wrong with this gun, get them while you can!

Ordered My FCP-SR 24" 6.5 Creedmoor from Buds it shipped fast and arrived in perfect condition. I took it home from my FFL on Friday and suited it up with my Vortex Viper PST, Burris Z-rings, and a UTG TL-BP01 bipod and WOW! what a beauty. I took it to the outdoor range Saturday and did the Savage recommended barrel break in and sighted the scope @ 50yds then moved to the 100yd to finish the break in and tweak the scope. While running the procedure the rifle performed flawlessly not a glitch. But the test Came Sunday, I returned to the range for the 200yd conditions were windy gusts to 15 mph cloudy and patchy heavy rain. This rifle is not only a beauty to look at, but super accurate and perfectly reliable I, and many of the shooters I know there were very impressed some even jealous! This Savage 10 FCP-SR is a great rifle and I would tell anyone thinking about what to buy, to buy this rifle now. You wont regret it even if your contemplating a different choice of rifle just buy the savage 10 FCP-SR you'll be glad you did. and while your here I recommend the Hornady American gunner ammunition 6.5 Creedmoor 140 grain hollow point boat tail box of 50 Buds had a great deal on this too. The Rifle shoots awesome. Shoots the hornady 140 eld great. Only issue I have was that the description says that the Rifle comes with a 10rd magazine. My rifle shipped with a 4rd magazine. Other than that, it is a beautiful rifle and shoots great.

Held off doing a review till I had taken it to range. I've had this model of savage in .308 and had high hopes it would be as good. Looked and function ok but I have to say accuracy isn't so impressive. I've used horady 120,129 and 143s and with bipod and bags shot group totally embarrassing. Glad there wasn't any witnesses. Wasn't tell I made 100gr hand loaded that allowed 5 shot groups to be within an inch square. I could cover these with quarter but not what I had grown to expect with 308 fcp. Hope it's better with more Break in. Bud's still where I go without fail.
