The Ares Defense Systems Sport Configurable Rifle (SCR) is a great dependable rifle that will provide a lifetime of accurate shooting for all enthusiasts in all 50 states. The rifle shares characteristics of the famous AR-15 rifle with classic look of a Monte Carlo stock. But the main feature is the takedown design that allows an instant receiver change to various configurations or calibers. It accepts most standard AR styled upper receivers and parts for endless options to suite your needs or conditions. The SCR Takedown assembly allows the use of AR-15 uppers of various calibers for sporting applications without the pain of having multiple rifle platforms. It includes a barreled upper receiver with a 16.25" Chromoly barrel, Magpul MOE handguard, Carpenter 158 Steel bolt carrier group and captive takedown pins. The ARES SCR Takedown is constructed of high quality aircraft grade alloys and features a Mil-Spec black hardcoat anodized finish. Supremely functional, easy to carry, extremely versatile, the ARES SCR Takedown is equally at home at the range, on the ranch, in the field or ready at hand when you hear that bump in the middle of the night.
