The Colt Combat Unit Rail Gun® is a duty ready pistol designed with the
help of world renowned trainers Ken Hackathorn and Daryl Holland.
Featuring our Dual Spring Recoil System, Novak Night Sights, acquiring
and staying on target is easy. The pistol also features an undercut
trigger guard and upswept beavertail, allowing shooters a higher grip
for enhanced comfort and accuracy, as well as 25 LPI checkering on the
front strap. Custom gray Colt G10 stocks and the legendary National
Match® barrel complete the package. The Colt Combat Unit Rail Gun® is
available in .45 ACP.

The weapon has performed flawlessly through the first 500 rounds. Not a single malfunction of any kind. The safety was VERT stiff to engage so a little file fitting was necessary to get it to be optimized (still positive clicks but smooth and easily engaged). The magazine was difficult to insert past the mag release. Again a little file work and your fitting is complete. Great gun and a tack driver in capable hands

Outstanding! Tight slide to frame fit. Tight bushing. Crisp trigger. Crisp safety plunger. Flawless finish. Solid black trigger. 2017 production. 70 series model number and book, but 80 series safety system just like the Marine pistol. So far I’m two for two with the new Colt 1911s. While I love my 9mm Competition model, this one is a true heirloom!

This is my third Colt 1911 45 ACP and most expensive. Everything about it is great except for one thing. It feels and shoots great like one would expect from a Colt 1911. On this one though, I feel Colt has slipped on the QC. The safety switch feels very mushy and almost like not engaging, not like the other two 1911s. I took it to our local Colt gunsmith and he has ordered a new Safety detent and spring, (Six Weeks) to come in. All in all I love the gun and will keep it. Can't go wrong with a Colt. I just hope this was a QC fluke and doesn't become the norm ?

Buds gets 5 stars, I've bought dozens of guns from them and they never disappoint. The Colt gets 1 star. Colt's quality crapshoot over the past few years is wel documented but I've wanted to add a Colt back to my collection of 1911's so I decided to try one of the Combat Unit Rail Guns. The fit was pretty good, not much slop, and the finish looked great, but the safety was mushy on and off rather than a positive click and worst of all the trigger failed with regularity. One time you'd pull it and the trigger was clean and the hammer would fall, the next it would just mush through the pull until the trigger hit the back without the hammer releasing. Then a couple of seconds later it would release. Dangerous and poor quality and the gun was never fired before it went back to Colt. Who know when I'll get it back and it's my last Colt when I do.

Quality makes it a colt! And this gun is nothing short of that, reliable, accurate, fit and Finnish is perfect. Nothing outside of what you would expect from a quality 1911, if your looking for a really nice railed 1911 look no further
