• Q: Sig can't tell me without the serial number and Buds can't give me one to check.. The questions list are confusing as 1 will say Gen 1 and the next will say they are Gen 2.. WHICH IS IT?

  Hi Mark, this is one thing I don;t agree with Buds on, not opening just one firearm in each batch/lot they get just to be able to properly list the Generation. They are large enough to do this. Your only recourse in this situation is to use Buds own policy that if there is anything you find out of place on a new firearm (and Gen would definitely apply) you can refuse transfer at your FFL for a suitable replacement or refund.

• Q: is the barrel thread 1/2 x 28 tpi

  No. Instead of using a normal thread pitch, SIG SAUER in their typical SIG SAUER way decided to use a 13.5×1 metric left hand thread pitch for their barrels.

• Q: If you do further research the new Sig MPX has a short stroke piston system W/ (FIXED) gas valve, over this models auto-regulating

• Q: Two quick questions regarding the Sig MPX-P-9-CF-PSB 9mm 8" 30rd product:
  1) Is this a generation 1 or generation 2 MPX?
  2) If it's gen 2, will gen 1 magazines work with it?
