This my favorite gun. Fit and finish is great. Have not shot it yet.

Wow what a great gun! I know there is another reviewer that was not happy with this gun, but I love mine. I think it is well built and I love the 8" barrel. The factory .44 specials are a little light compare to the 45 LC that I normally shoot, but it is a lot of fun. It might have a few sharp edges, but unless I'm shooting my Rugers, all of my Uberti, Cimarron, and Pieta single action revolvers are that way. I wanted it because I wanted to add a .44 SP. and 8" barrel to go along with my 6, 71/2, and 9" revolvers. Don't be afraid to pull the trigger on this one (pun intended, lol).

Ordered the 1851 navy in 44 special. I found it odd and quite disappointing that it comes with a 1860 grip frame on it. More disappointing is the fact this gun has razor sharp edges all over it. That is no exaggeration. I in fact cut my self 4 times just wiping the factory oil off. Grips fit okay but not good. The barrel to frame fit is crazy tight. After 30 min of pulling and trying to get it loose I made a Micarta pry tool and finally got the barrel off of the badly burred pins. Its not all bad. Trigger pull is a crisp 3-4 lbs. Its a very good looking revolver. They just didn't bother to finish making it I guess. Would I buy it again? No not at this price point, I wanted a 1851 not a 1860 kit quality gun.
