This Sig Sauer P229 ASE 40S&W is a bucket list gun for me and I’m so happy I was able to get one. Everything about it says quality. I would have preferred the full stainless model but I think they were discontinued and replaced with the ASE. That’s fine with me though because it makes the pistol lighter.

Nice gun. You can definitely feel the recoil but it is easy to control. Fired 100 rounds without a malfunction. Received many compliments also.

Awesome pistol! I have a few Sigs. 229 was on my agenda. I have owned a P229 STAINLESS FRAME in the past. In my opinion? Way too heavy. Especially with 13 180 Gr rounds in it. This model with the ALLOY frame was a whole different story. Same weight as my Nitron 229R. Extremely accurate right out of the box. Put first 12 rounds in a 2" group at 21' feet. Not 1 problem with feeding or extracting. It's a Sig Sauer. Bud's was super fast with the shipping as always, and the price you will NOT beat. Buy one!

Awesome handgun, the Sig is a high quality solid and heavy weapon. It actually feels like a gun in your hand in comparison to my composite, which I also love. Have only shot once so far, but looking forward to shooting it again and again and getting better groupings..

Shipping is slow this time that i have to call for follow ups. The Sig Sauer P229 TALO that i ordered was amazing, pretty and good looking. Smooth trigger, no malfunction so far after 150 rounds. Brass, Aluminum, Steel casings no problem. I loved it very much. The weight and size of the gun is right for me. The only negative is... the gun was so dirty when I received it... i thought it was used. Whoever handdles the shipping should be fired at once for not cleaning it before sending to customer. Attention to details must be the first consideration.

A dandy. The Winchester super grade of pistols. Trigger, controls, accuracy all good. Think about it. Sig uses a full length frame guide for the slide like a 1911. The most accurate way. Ergonomics very good and the SRT beautiful. Now this is a dress gun and no better than the black ones but it is beautiful. Being these alloy stainless are a special run for a distributor I am buying one of every one. Once these are gone they will be no more. Is the full stainless a tougher gun? Perhaps but also a lot heavier and could you shoot it enough to tell the difference in wear? Take a lot of rounds to tell. Another thing. These are cheaper than the plain jane sigs. So why not? The other man that wrote a interview said a very thick grip. I wear X-large Chinese size gloves. Hehe. Xlarge gloves made by the Chinese are the same as medium used to be and the gun fits me fine. Also nite sights. These guns are a steal as far as I am concerned.

Was able to put my first hundred rounds through this pistol on Friday without a hiccup. Let me tell you, this is a soft shooting .40, I would even be willing to say this pistol shoots softer than my CZ75 Compact (steel frame) in 9mm. The feel is fantastic, sight picture was great, and the SRT trigger works as advertised. My only knock would be that the grip is a little on the larger side so someone like me with average sized hands will have issues reaching some of the controls without readjusting your shooting grip. Cannot wait to get it back to the range, I was disappointed that I only brought 100 rounds with me, I just wanted to keep on shooting with it.
