Can't beat the price for the fit and function. Super reliable for a hammer fire pistol.

The full size polymer P09 is quite a surprise for the price. I’ve always heard about CZs, and an old Army buddy swore by the CZ75 when he was in the Balkans in the late 80s. Something like that....
I’ve always watched them, but finally picked this one up. I couldn’t be more happy. Not a pro, but this feels good in the hand, the “inside rails” might be a gimmick, but it makes me feel like a shooter and seems to find its way to the bullseye with little effort. Gorgeous finish, nice steel magazines, and a decent case for it too.
Frankly, this polymer version has me going back to the basics and ordering a CZ75 (with steel frame) just because. No issues with the P09 whatsoever. Fired about 300 rounds so far, shooting garbage target ammo, to Hornady CDs. Not the slightest hiccup - just flawless fun. IMI makes a great holster for it too. On to the next CZ installment.

If you are considering this pistol then you are likely familiar with CZ already and know that they don't make junk. This model will not disappoint. It is obviously a full size pistol but fits comfortably in medium to large hands. The ergonomics are very natural. As for fit and finish, the quality is flawless. I typically do a trigger job on every pistol I purchase but I wont be changing this one. The single action pull is crisp right out of the box and seems to improve with use. So far, it has functioned perfectly with a variety of rounds including hand loads. Accuracy is excellent. If you are looking for a full sized handgun, this is a good choice. I would wager that it's little brother, the P07 would make a great carry pistol. You should be very pleased with the quality at this price point.

I am a CZ fan, but this gun exceeded my expectations. First off, enormous capacity! 19+1 9mm. And the dimensions are definitely at the extreme edge of concealability. But if you need an EDC, go with the P-07. Very accurate shooter for me, probably the best first trip to the range of almost any handgun I own save my old Kimber full-size 1911. Practically no felt recoil and able to get back on target right away. Nice trigger, smooth draw and crisp release. Changeable backstraps are a great feature as well. Mine came with ambi safety installed, which I changed out for the decocker (included). Buy it, shoot it and love it! Another winner from CZ.

Big Gun...lots of bullets (19+1)...Shoots great. Why CZ...why!!! So many models, not enough funds...why CZ!

I wanted love this weapon however am having a hard time doing so. The positives: excellent grip angle. 3 choices in grip size, grips are sufficiently textured to give good friction for control during recoil. excellent fit and finish externally. Decent sights (I m not a white dot person and prefer solid black but the sights are useable) single action breaks cleanly with an ok reset. Weapon has a dry nice overall feel,weight and balance. The negatives. Double action. Whoever let this out of the factory never pulled the trigger in double action. Gritty does not begin to describe it. Very rough and stacks as you go through the pull. Very heavy as well. I don't have a trigger gauge but know heavy. Undoubtedly in part due to above. I'm not new to da/sa and have been actively shooting for over 35 years. I have a number of da/sa semi autos and non this bad. External thumb safety.for me it's to small. I cannot consistently activate (return it to safe) without altering my grip or using my trigger finger neither option is acceptable to me. I intend to run this with the decocker in any event as I do with my sigsauers so is a moot point for me but buyer beware. I don't buy weapons with the anticipation of having to replace parts to make them acceptable to use. I am going to have purchase Cajun gun works innards to make this weapon what it should be out of the box and that irritates me.perhaps I just got "that gun" I don't know.
