Ordered 3/01, received 3/07. Picked up the gun from the FFL. It came in a little cardboard box, inside was the pistol drenched in oil inside of a plastic bag. There was a free NRA membership as well as 2 tools in the box. I cleaned the gun up and checked for anything out of the ordinary. At first, the magazine would not accept any of my reloads, it was too tight to get all 6 of them in there, Factory loads were tight, but I could get 6. After leaving the rounds in the mag overnight, the Magazine began to loosen up, the rounds became easier. I took it to the range the next day. At 5 yards, this pistol easily made 3" groups without any effort. I tried rapid firing and one handed firing and still was able to not only manage recoil, but also keep a decent group on target. Next I took the gun to the pistol gong. I was able to hit the 50yd gong 4 out of 5 times, and it thumped. Not only was I impressed with the ability of this little gun, but also the capability of the .40 S&W. In total, I ran 100 rounds through this little pocket pistol without a single hiccup. Would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a pocket pistol with some thump.

The Taurus Slim 40Cal is very snappy when fired, but it's buck is easily managed. So far the gun shoots fine, having fired four different kinds of ammo, it eats everything well. The trigger pull is good, the reset is very short, which makes it great to shoot. My only complain so far, is the fact that it only comes with one magazine.

Best 175 dollars I've spent in awhile. I love the Flat Dark Earth color. I also own the 709 slim in all black the FDE looks so much better. I've only put about 50 rounds through this gun but I did not have a song problem out of it. The only bad thing is it comes with only one magazine but I bought an extra off eBay for 30 bucks. It has a little more recoil than it's 9mm counterpart but it's not to bad.

It has surprisingly controllable recoil for a small 40. The price was great.

I received my firearm today and I am very impressed. Very concealable and compact. It's a blast to shoot and I haven't had any issues with it and runs smoothly. I would definitely purchase another one but this time the 9mm.

This little hangun packs a wallop and I like it that way. Too much is made about the trigger on these little pistols in that most folk expect too much. I found it to be okay for me. Once I got used to the long pull with a second stage like pull at the end of the travel I found it to be a fun shooter. It has been reliable so far and I like the slim design. I recommend it to anyone wanting a conceal carry with punch.

Good little gun for concealed carry, Great Price. Shipped Super Fast, Very Happy with the Gun. I've but about 50 rounds through it with no issues. Gun seems well made, great size, and packs a punch. Although it is a 40 S&W, recoil is not bad. Gun ships with one magazine, additional magazines are a bit expensive. The one I bought does not fit in the magazine well without some effort. I keep it inserted as my first mag to avoid any slowdown on reload.
