• Q: is this pistol's frame/slide casting or forged?

  Jesus, both are forged Sir. Smith & Wesson forges all of their main parts. They used to forge all of their parts, but switched to MIM for certain parts some time ago (hammers, triggers, etc.) Cheers and stay safe!
• Q: I just purchased one and was wondering what all was included. Does it come with case and lock from factory? Nothing is listed in the description.

  Zachary, this handgun comes in a hard plastic case with owners manual, warranty registration card (2) 8rd Magazines, cable lock, take down tool and S&W Decal/Sticker.

  neither it uses a swartz type firing system "One of the distinct S&W safety components is the Swartz firing-pin, operated by the grip safety. The Swartz type safeties are firing pin safeties that are unlocked by depressing the grip safety. Currently, the S&W 1911s and Kimber series II guns have Swartz safeties."
