Awesome purchase, removed from the package and was what expected. Sig does a great job with packaging and shows care and quality with their firearms. This M18 is no exception, well made and looks and feels great. The glowing night sights just adds to the already great firearm. If I had 1 suggestion it would be a little larger slide release but that can be replaced. Thanks to BUDS for a smooth transaction as always.

Ok I really like this gun, I fired 100 rounds of Remington Range ammo yesterday not one malfunction. The first thing I did was put a Leupold Powerpoint on it. Fairly easy it needs to follow the directions exactly the recoil spring has to be put in exactly or you get to start again. The chamber indicator is held in place by a small spring so read or watch a youtube first. The Leupold is designed to fit on the gun without any other plates or shims . Take plate off after striker and ejector. and mount on gun. It does sit low on the barrel which making the first shots on the. paper. Easy to set zero. I found the trigger was smooth and broke crisp with little reset. Glock has made great strides over the years they may be getting close my opinion not there yet. Here is where the keyboard warriors are going to get critical I set the zero at 12 yards 36 feet. It is within 2.5 inches from 25 yards to 5 yards. You can set it wherever you choose if you set it at 100 yards and god forbid have to defend yourself with it you are going to find yourself in a DAs office answering a lot of questions. That rarely goes well. This is a range gun and a near perfect self defense gun. It is just about the same size as a glock 19 maybe a few oz. heaver. It is going to be my every day carry after i become second nature with its external safety and the difference with the glock I carried for years. Very impressed with this gun evidently so is the USMC, I still haven't decided lf I am going to chance the front sight to .4 inches to colocate the iron sights with the red dot. Put the red dot where you need the round to go and thats where it goes. Sig makes a great gun. Buds as usually prefect.

I was sold a used gun with obvious signs of wear beyond factory test firing. Sig Sauer places a band around the pistol grip. My gun did not have the band making me doubt it was factory fresh. Also, the recoil is protruding from the slide approximately 1/8th inch. I sent pictures to Sig Sauer. They told me that their products do not leave the factory in that condition and without a band.
