Great gun at a great price. Haven’t had a chance to shoot it yet. One negative point is it comes with 10 round mags. Had to buy 3 hi- cap mags, no big deal.

The Beretta M9 is a good starting pistol for those who like safety for hammer-fired pistols. It's an F model which after you decock the hammer, it stays in a safety position which the trigger will stop working until you switch the safety to fire position. Not a bad pistol but the trigger is hard for the double action but single action is sweet and practically no take up.

Feels heavier than I remember the Italian model feeling. Magazines insanely tight. Trouble finding magazines with higher cap that will fit. But it’s exactly as advertised and the reliability of Beretta is why I keep coming back.

Unhappy with product. Upon receiving the gun at ffl, I racked the slide once and pulled the trigger. Worked fine. Continued my transaction. Took it out to the car and messed with it more. Then noticed that it would not function but in single action mode. It would continue to pull about 3 out of ten attempts, after that it would only do a half cock with a trigger pull. Took it back in to the ffl and had them check it to make sure I wasn't being dumb. He stated the obvious, there was an issue. He suggested I contact Beretta.

Just as I thought, the M9 is a blast. Received my first M9 in Korea (2nd ID) in 1985, 1stSgt had us take it to the range and blow off 500 rounds that day! Then we surrendered the Colt 1911 .45 back to the Arms Room forever, I'd carried it for 3 years. 38 Years later, the M9 is still my #1 Go-To. I'll be getting the 15rd Mags due to it coming with 3-10 rounders. Shot 250 rds through the M9 with no hick-ups at all. Used Federal, CCI and Remington 9mm. Flawless!

    3 dot sight and there is no way without seeing the stamps to know if it is a TN or MD gun he Beretta M9 offers a variety of tactical features that make it equally safe, easy to use, and dependable for military personnel as well as for home or personal defense. Its reversible magazine release enables the use of either hand for tactical magazine changes, while its ambidextrous safety-decocker makes the pistol flexible for right- or left-handed persons. The Bruniton finish with military-style markings is highly resistant to sweat and corrosion, and a tool-free disassembly latch makes it simple and quick to take the pistol apart for cleaning. The M9 features an external hammer, 3-dot sight system, combat trigger guard, and an open-slide design making the firearm lighter. This CA compliant model has a black finish, 4.9" barrel, and comes with a 10-round magazine.
