A300 Ultima Patrol LE - 19" Barrel, 7 Rounds, 3" Chamber

Beretta has a winner with this one. The gun is well balanced and lightweight and handles very well. The sights are a bit rudimentary but adequate, and the rail for optics is a nice touch. The texturing of the stock is pretty aggressive and not the most comfortable, but that can be a plus in wet or muddy conditions. Beretta also includes a custom cut velcro adhesive strip for the receiver if you want to use shell cards. All the controls are oversized making it very easy to manipulate, and the enhanced loading port is awesome-I've never loaded a shotgun so easily without tearing up my fingers. I ran the gun with a mix of federal slugs and buckshot. Both were POA/POI and controllable, but the recoil is a bit stout, given the lighter weight. Just for fun, I tried some 3" buckshot I had lying around-no problems with firing, loading, or ejecting. I had one malfunction (fail to go into battery), but this was within the first 20 or so rounds and may have been induced by me as I dropped the shell into the port. Overall, if you are looking for a semiauto tactical shotgun, this is very hard to beat for the price.
