The action started out fairly rough but did improve with time. Only complaint was that the spring in the magazine tube seems to be a little long and can only fit 8 shells in the magazine tube and not the advertised 9. I may have to clip a couple of coils of the magazine spring to accommodate 9 shells. The finish is not so bad considering that most .410 lever action shotguns are far more expensive.
