Gun arrived in a timely fashion. The outer packing container showed the normal UPS handling damage. Inside, the gun was packed in bubble wrap and at first inspection looked OK. I cleaned the gun and was surprised to see that the bluing on the reciever was transparent, may have been applied too thin. You can see right thru the bluing to the machine marks on the reciever. Also, at the area where the lever action is attached to the reciever, there are very small chips in the bluing. Not the quality you would expect from a Rossi ! One additional comment, the front sight is way out of alignment, hopefully I can get it back in to alignment. I have written to Rossi ( Braztech) and I am waitingg for a response from them. Depending on their response, this may be just one gun that slipped by the inspectors or may be indicative of their overall quality ( lets hope not, they are expensive guns). I have to say that at present this gun is poor and satisfaction rests with customer service.

i finally took this lever action out to the desert. extremely disappointed in the action. from round one, it jammed. forget about trying to load more than one shell. i spent 50% of my time trying to unjam the action and getting the shell out. too bad we can't test fire weapons before actually buying them- i do not recommend this lever action. fit & finish is okay, but functioning sucks!
