CVA's Optima includes the Quick Release Breech Plug. It the only truly "tool-free removal" breech plug on the market today. Even after 20 or more shots, the QRBP comes with just a twist of the fingers. The stainless steel models feature fluted barrels made of 416 grade stainless steel. The real black stainless steel protects against corrosion on the outside and the inside of the barrel. The Optima also has a "zero center of gravity" designed trigger. It provides an incredibly light and smooth trigger pull with virtually no creep. The breech opens easily with just a touch of the breeching lever, which is located in the front of the trigger guard.

Great gun. Easy to clean. Would recommend to anyone in the market for a quality muzzleloader at a great price.

I bought this CVA Rifle for my hunband for Christmas & he loves it he states that it's a accurate & hard hitting rifle . He is using those new IMR White Hots in it i asked him to tell me as much as he could about his shooting he told me that he is shooting the three pellet load or the Magnum Load he calls it he showed me how easy it cleans up after shooting he said that he would rather have this rifle than just about any other on the market I hope my review may help another buyer choose a good blackpowder rifle like the CVA 26" Optima . P.S. he only shoots the Powerbelt Bullets in it by the way
