This is one sweet rifle. I am truly impressed by it's accuracy. I shot out to 100 yds with less than an inch after boresighting at 25 yards and dialed it in to less than 1/2 inch...more rifle than me ;-) I also used both factory and handloads with great sucess. It really seemed to like 190 gr. Sierra Match Kings. I look forward to shooting at greater ranges soon. I'll update when I do.

If you are unsure don't be. The price is right and it truly is a shooter. I'm handloading and getting 1/2" groups consistently at 100yrds. I upgraded the stock on my last savage but this one is grouping tight "as is". I've got Warne rings and bases and a Nikon Monarch on this 5 star rifle.

This gun is simply the best bang for the buck "pun intended". This gun never ceases to amaze me. This being my first rifle, it took me a while to learn how to get the full potential from this gun, but once I learned what I needed to do, this rifle performed as good if not better than rifles costing 4-5 times as much (Sako TRG-22). Shooting factory 168g Federal GMM this rifle with shoot .5 MOA or better. I consistently shoot sub 1.5 inch groups at 300 yards. It is true what they say about these savage rifles: they are the best rifles available out of the box, period, and for the price there is no other rifle that comes close. The accutrigger, adjusted to 1.5lbs is a dream to pull (what pull?). Compared to other factory triggers there is no comparison. Savage deserves a lot more recognition than it gets. This rifle is the most accurate at the range every time.
