Weatherby has been known for their fit and finish of their firearms. This Vanguard .223 lives up to those standards. They've taken the Howa 1500 to a higher standard. Looks and shoots as you would expect of a Weatherby. Considering another in a different caliber.

This is my second Weatherby Vanguard, this one in 223 Remington.
Beautifully made with Turkish Walnut stock. Great Weatherby quality.
Topped it off with a Nikon 4-12x40 BDC scope. Both gun and scope are well worth the money.
I'm waiting for the snow to go to the gun club to shoot it.

Weatherby is a premier American gun maker, make no mistake. The Vanguard series shows that they're as committed to a "value" line of rifles as they are to their top line offerings.This rifle is an excellent example of their engineering and craftmanship with longguns. Besides being beautiful, I was delighted with the fit, feel and workmanship that Weatherby put into it. The trigger came set at about 3 lbs which is good enough for my purposes. Topped with a Leupold 3-9x40 scope, it'll soon go to the range for sighting it. Dollar for dollar it's better out-of-the-box than some other domestic offerings. I'm proud to own it.

The Weatherby VanGard Sporter is what I expected, a good quality rifle. it was shipped out fast and the process was easy. The price was lower than anyone else. I will certainly reccomend Bud's Guns to my friends.
