The gun itself was great but when I got it there was a small scratch where someone must have dinged it with something. Not worth returning it for as it is small and will not affect the function of the gun but I'd rather it be me dinging up my new gun not someone who handled it before me when it's supposed to be brand new.

Great gun. Includes two extra cheek risers (plus the standard one pre-installed), castle nut wrench to remove forend, total of 4 LOP spacers, trigger lock, and Magpul DVD "The Art of the Dynamic Shotgun". Action is smooth. Finish is Cerakote and is far superior to black oxide or that horrible powder coat garbage. Six 3" shells fit but it's tight. Also, be aware that this has the newer single piece 6 shot mag tube instead of the classic 4 2 extension. Works great as the follower can't hang up in it, but you CAN NOT use any other 870 barrel with it. The loop on the barrel is about 3" from where it would be on the standard barrel, so you can't secure it with the mag tube cap. Could probably make a spacer but if you want to change barrels for skeet/trap/etc., I would pick another version with the older mag tube. If it is only going to ever have the 18.5" barrel for HD, then it beats out the old design. Just be aware of that before plunking down the cash. Magazine follower is a nice bright orange. I replaced the extractor with the forged piece from the police models which took a little bit of filing/fitting but it works great. Grip angle is very comfortable and the texture is surprisingly 'grippy'. Overall very happy with purchase but do wish other barrels were a direct fit option. Remington manuals incorrectly state that all 870 barrels are interchangeable. Not true for these newer one piece mag tube models.
