Bought for skeet shooting. Beautiful gun for the money. The fit and finish at this price point is jaw dropping. Recoil isn’t bad with light loads but can be a little punishing with the hotter stuff. The trigger is a bit heavier than I’d like for a clay gun but I’ve gotten used to that and it isn’t a dealbreaker but something to consider.

For the price this gun is worth it. Good handling nice looking the shell extractors are manual. Being they pop out a quarter way and pull them out by hand. Good bang for the buck

Excellent shotgun. Always been a Mossberg fan (mostly the 500s). Bought the Silver Reserve II for desert quail hunting and occasional skeet shooting. Gun is a bit heavy for carrying around compared to my lighter 20 ga options but the gun performs perfect. Overall fit and finish of the gun is great. Did an initial cleaning of the firearm and have put 3 boxes of shells ( 6 shot 1-1/8 oz) quail hunting with no hiccups. Came in a nice hard case with 5 chokes. Did some comparing with other O/U in this price range and loved the fact the Silver Reserve II does not have an automatic safety or inertia triggers. Engraving and jeweling on the gun look great. Would recommend to friends or family in the market for an over under shotgun in this price range.

Received my Silver Reserve II last week and took it out to shoot trap last night. 75 rounds with no issues. I’m extremely happy with it. Hoping to take full advantage of the over/under next week shooting skeet.

Love this gun it’s light wight and easy to carry around the field all day with I bought this gun pacifically for dove and upland hunting. the finish on the barrels itself I would say it’s mid grade but has a nice shine to it the scrolling on the receiver is amazing you can tell it’s done by machine not hand which is what you would expect with an over under at this price The scrolling is nicely done as well and the wood finish adds a nice touch to it I have lagged the gun around for one season in Florida for a Dove season and during the dove hunt we encountered rain and thick brush on are way to the field it’s self and neither rust or scratches were transferred to the gun As far as felt recoil there is little to none however I have not shot anything bigger then a 3” # 5 Turkey load through it so with that being said mainly 2-3/4# 5 & 2-3/4 -7&up The gun is very easy to lead with and I am only 54 so the fit is just right as far as “lop”

Had some misfires shooting skeet out of the box...could blame it on old amo...it is a little stiff opening and closing...sure usage will fix that ...buds always delivers!

First of all, I was very pleased by the efficiency demonstrated by your team in filling my order. In fact this is my third new weapon purchased from Buds and all have been handled in a fast and efficient manner. With regards to my new Mossberg Silver Reserve shotgun I'm very pleased with the quality and finish of the weapon. I've long wanted an over/under shotgun but always found the cost to be prohibitive however finding this shotgun on your web site at a very reasonable rate was a very encouraging. The only concern I have with the gun is it's awfully stiff to open. I took it to my gunsmith who said it would just take time and useage to loosen up a bit. He did say he could do a bit of machining to alleviate the problem but recommended against it as it would shorten the life of the weapon. Thank you again for the excellent service you provide.
