This is a blowback 380. It shoots like a small 357 magnum(a little sting). The gun itself is awesome. CZ quality at a fair price. I like that i can carry it cocked and locked.

The CZ-83 was delivered quickly after ordering from Bud's. Firing the 380 acp weapon is like going back in time to the Cold War days. There's a little kick after pulling the trigger, but at self-defense distances it is an accurate firearm. It is built to take decades of use. It is concealable and easy to deploy. Thanks to Bud's.

Classic CZ. Well made, accurate, good trigger, and nice finish. I recommend factory rose wood grips as in upgrade.

I was really excited about owning this pistol. It took about a week to get to my FFL. I cleaned the firearm, which appeared to have been in storage for a while (lots of thick, gummy grease), and headed to my local gun range. Much to my dismay, my CZ83 was all together dysfunctional: the beer can mags were sticky, with uneven spring release, which misaligned with the rough-surfaced, poorly machined feed ramp causing multiple feedings and constant jamming. I managed to get one shot off in three tries. I quit trying out of safety concerns. I hope CZ will help me out. Not happy!

This is a very high quality pistol. The grip fills the hand, and it is extremely comfortable to shoot. The trigger breaks cleanly and predictably. I'm an average shot, and the gun made me look good. The sights were right on for me. I don't know how long these will be available, and I was glad to be able to get one new.

Gun looks and feels quality, haven't shot this particular one yet. Only complaint is mag release button is a bit stiff but will probably brake in, appears to be made in 2015..., comes in the nice CZ plastic hardcase with cleaning rods and a test target dated 12/10/2015... Did CZ stop making these in 2012 as their website shows and are importing old stock with new stamps or are they making fresh 83s again? Overall would recommend.
