This gun is an excellent shooter, nothing wrong there at all. Finish is nice and yes it is a black finish per Buds description, although on Metro Arms website they say it is blued. Well it isn't, it's black. Not a bad finish but do not expect to get a blued gun or you will be disappointed. Grips are a lighter color than what is pictured. They appear to be the grips for the chrome version and really do not match up well with the black finish. Polished flats and matte rounds in a black finish. Front strap checkering and adjustable sights. Not a bad price but you may find a better product from a different manufacturer for the same money.

Purchased in December 2014. Very impressed with fit and finish. The pistol is a joy to shoot. It has a terrific trigger, and is one of the most accurate pistols I own. It is hard for me to believe that their is a better 1911 available at any price!! Metro Arms needs to do a much better job at marketing this pistol. If you are a 1911 enthusiast, you can not go wrong purchasing this pistol.

Great fit and finish, superb trigger, best of all I have fired, which is many from high end to low. I got lucky maybe, but this is a superb 1911.
