Great gun, very nice, whoever makes a great gun.

This rifle with 4-12x scope produced four 1/2 inch groups out of the box while zeroing rifle at 100 yards. Then moved to 200 yards and it gave a 1.5 group. These were with hand-loads. Only shot one 200 yard group because at age 74, walking is getting tiring! Great rifle. Highly appreciate it and recommend. ADF

Bottom line: this gun shoots. First, the Ruger American series of guns are budget price point rifles. With that said, the two Predator models that I have, one in 6.5 Creedmoor and this one in 243 Winchester, both easily shoot under 1 MOA and much better than several top brand rifles that I have owned that cost three times as much; two guaranteed 1 MOA but did not deliver. Undoubtedly, there are things about these rifles that you can legitimately grumble about but dollar for dollar you cannot complain about the accuracy. At an empty weight of 6.6 lbs., I set up my 6.5 CM as an elk/big game rifle and shoot high end factory ammo to hold MOA out to 600 yards. I handload the 243 Win to shoot flat to minimize hold over and wind deflection. I can hold into the fur at beyond 300 yards and even with 3 lbs of thermal gear mounted, the carry weight is about 9.5 lbs. It should be noted, I have a copy of the Ruger American Standard rifle and find the accuracy to be ordinary.

The rifle is a tack driver. I’m very impressed and it is another fine product by ruger. However, I’m very under impressed by Buds. Lack of customer service and not caring by their employees has made me a one and done customer.

This is a great rifle for the price. Shoots very nicely. I set the trigger at about 3 lbs and love it. Mounted a matted vortex 4-12x40 on it and it matches the gun perfectly. It sighted in very quickly. Very well balanced rifle. Also Buds had the rifle to me in record time. Ordered on a monday and picked it up from my FFL on thurs. Just purchased another gun from Buds. Will continue to use them as my go to online gun company.

Looks like a nice enough gun for the money. Before buying I called and emailed Ruger and was told it is a 1:10 but a marked cleaning rod says its a 1:14. Not a deal breaker but was a deciding factor to choose the Ruger. Buds did a great job at a great price! Thanks Buds!
