Ordered this to lighten the weight of my Sig. .45. It’s amazing what a difference a few ounces make. The odds of needing to use the weapon is far less than getting tired of carrying it because it’s weighing down my pants.

I purchased this ammo to use as a carry load in my Bond Arms Defender Derringer with a 3 inch barrel. Ballistics By The Inch website shows that it produces 1672 fps in a 3 inch barrel. Also, it has less recoil, it reduces the weight of the loaded pistol by 3/4 of an ounce, and delivers more energy to the target than most other 45 acp ammo. I find that it does have less felt recoil but has a tremendous muzzle blast in a 3 inch barrel. It should work well a a defensive load but I hope I never have to find out how well. -------- Richard Smith

This stuff moves ! I fired it through a carbine and a pistol. You can hear the difference. Someone on YouTube did the ballistics Gel test and posted it.

Accuracy is spot on from a 3in to a 5in barrel. Works perfect in my Ruger SR1911 as well in my WW2 replica 1911 and a officer size 1911. For me the felt recoil and muzzle flip was less than a 230gr FMJ ball ammo. Accuracy is great. Budsgunshop is the best price I found so far. But even so, it’s not cheap. The price would be the only drawback. I’ve used this ammo in a SA XD Mod 2 .45 ACP 3.3in barrel, and it cycled without issue, and even with such a short barrel the felt recoil was less than using other premium ammo or 230gr FMJ. I definitely recommend this ammo. Bear in mind this is P ammo and it is not recommend to use this ammo on a constant basis, especially through a polymer frame pistol.
