Yes it is Threaded The barrel is threaded and has a thread protector screwed on from the factory. The thread pattern is the same as the Saiga Shotguns and any of the numerous different Muzzle Breaks on the market for the Saigas will fit the Vepr.

Modern 12 ga shotgun shells come in sizes 2 3/4 , 3 and 3 1/3 lengths and it will handle 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells safely

The Molot VEPR 12 is an original Russian production 12-guage stock shotgun. Imported by FIME Group, this semi-automatic shotgun is designed for self-defense, hunting, and 3-gun competition and has upgraded US made parts to ensure 922R compliance when using any magazine. The pistol grip, fire control group, gas puck, and RPK style hand-guards are of the premium quality parts made in the US.

Polymer pistol grip, polymer lower handguard and upper handguard, fixed tubular buttstock with cheek rest and sling loop, competition magazine well, factory 5-round magazine, RPK style windage adjustable rear sight, original AK enhanced safety lever (single finger operation extended right-side lever), factory chrome lined barrel, chamber, receiver shaft, and gas chamber, factory last round bolt hold open, factory threaded barrel, factory machined bolt assembly, and gas blocks. Get one while you can. These things are awesome- built like a tank, and holds some serious firepower. Yes the mags are expensive, but if you can swing it this is a great gun to have in your collection!

I purchased a Molot VEPR 12 using Buds layaway plan. The online layaway system is set up well and intuitive to use. Had a few question during the process and the customer service department help with every aspect of my questions. My only complaint is that my order took 5 business days to ship from the time that Buds acknowledge my personal check had cleared there bank. Product was in great shape when received. This is my fourth gun purchase from Buds and I would purchase another one from them should the need/want arise.

The Vepr 12 is a must have. Super fun at the range. Very solid heavy gun. I haven't experienced any issues at all. I did upgrade the muzzle brake which made a huge difference. 4Range.com has alot of accessories for the Vepr.
